While serving as Art Director/Visual Media Designer at MassMutual, I was asked by Strategic Communications to produce a video for the 2016 Leaders Conference. The annual week-long gathering of the top 20 percent of MassMutual career agents took to the high seas for a cruise from New York City to Nova Scotia. Included on the ship were more than 1,300 qualifying agents, their families and members of the leadership team.
The unique layout of the conference prompted Strategic Communications to devise a way for Roger Crandall to deliver his opening remarks. Supplying studio m with an outline, the video production team crafted a script, planned out camera shots and graphics and produced the CEO message.
The video showcases MassMutual’s recent success, thanks the agents for their service, relays company strategy and reinforces MassMutual’s mission.
By producing the video internally instead of sourcing to an external agency, studio m saved MassMutual about $6,000 in production costs.
