Josh Proulx, Director of Alumni Engagement from the UConn Foundation was looking to brand a new program that he had developed. Something fresh… like the beers that are being brewed for the events. After an initial creative briefing, I went to work creating a number of variations… the one we settled on is reflected here.
I thought the best bet was to do a vintage logo (1881, of course), but not lose the UConn touch. I ended up cleverly sneaking the UConn husky into the leaves in the hops. Just an extra bit of UConn flair to round it out. The logo was emblazoned everywhere related to the event… tshirts, glasses, tumblers, web banners, emails, volunteer apparel… you name it.
