Jesse Billin of Whiskey Disks approached Rovettidesign from a client referral, and wanted to get the ball rolling on a full website revamp. We did an initial assessment and determined that a full reset of the website would be the best path, with a new aesthetic treatment, new photography, and updated and more seearch appropriate content. We got started, developing wireframes, and initial layout treatments. We never said that we were perfect. Our initial renderings were good, but didn’t completely engage the look and feel that Jesse was looking for. With some tweaks and colorwork, we got back on track and provided a second round of comps that were a total hit. On to development.
Jesse also optioned a location photoshoot to get the new in-use and product shots that he wanted, and Max and I made the magic happen, in two different locations. A great bunch of photos came out of that shoot, some of which are on the Whiskey Disks site.
All in all, we put together a static site, a full WordPress tumblog… oop… we forgot to mention that we also dialed in a complete ecommerce solution with this project as well. We used our favorite platform to create an ecommerce store that has a great design, and a ton of practical options for shoppers.
